Genuine laurel – Laurus nobilis – from our own 100% organic propagation; evergreen shrub / tree; can grow up to 5-10m high; branches out several times over time – these shoots can then be separated from the mother trunk and grown as separate plants / trees; the leathery leaves have a very aromatic scent; can be used as a medicinal and aromatic plant; always grown outdoors (only taken into the conservatory for a short time in winter at temperatures below -10C); hardened in winter at 450m above sea level in a sheltered location; not 100% hardy on the north side of the Alps; very good and natural growth; potted in well-drained self-mixed organic substrate (with own compost); repotting only desired in 1-2 years (preferably in a clay pot), not over-fertilised therefore robust & healthy, slow growth, with time it becomes quite strong (trunk forming), the plant is intended for a (very) sunny location, it is NOT a houseplant; the plant is happy when it can enjoy the fresh air and rain outside; enjoy your new laurel tree!
