Dorstenia horwoodii – A Rare Succulent Treasure!

Discover the charm of Dorstenia horwoodii, a truly rare and fascinating succulent originating from Somalia.

This unique plant belongs to the Moraceae family and is known for its sculptural, thickened caudex and intriguing star-shaped inflorescences.

A slow-growing collectors gem,Dorstenia horwoodii forms a compact, woody caudex that stores water, making it highly drought-tolerant and ideal for bright, sunny spots.

At TOMs FLOWer CLUB, we offer fully established plants from our own collection – organically grown, not overfertilised, ensuring top health and robustness (100% organic quality before quantity – no greenhouse mass production!).

Each plant is carefully potted inself-mixed, well-draining organic substrate and housed in a clay pot to promote healthy, natural growth.

Repotting is only needed every 2-3 years, keeping care simple and relaxed.

Key care tips:

• Thrives in full sun to semi-shade.

• Water moderately and allow the substrate to dry between waterings.

• Not frost-hardy – overwinter indoors in a bright spot around 10-15C with minimal watering.

• Appreciates a dry winter rest to mimic its natural habitat.

You will love your Dorstenia horwoodii for its low-maintenance charm, artistic appearance, and rare collectible value.
