Colocasia esculenta Black Magic Organic-Grown, Deep Black Foliage Beauty

Discover one of the most dramatic foliage plants in the aroid world: Colocasia esculenta Black Magic, organically grown at TOMs FLOWer CLUB in a self-mixed, permeable organic substrate without any fertiliser, resulting in plants that are exceptionally robust, healthy and naturally strong.
Quality before quantity, always.

A Collectors Favourite with True Presence

Under strong sunlight, the large heart-shaped leaves transform into an almost black, velvety shade, contrasted beautifully by wine-red stems. With good care, your plant will produce 46 new leaves every year, each one bigger and more impressive than the last.
A spectacular architectural plant for your living room, terrace or conservatory or outdoors between May and October.

Growth & Care Characteristics

• Grows up to 100 cm tall with proper care

• Thrives in warm, humid environments (indoor misting with lukewarm water recommended)

• Perfect for sunny to semi-shaded positions

• Not hardy ideal as a tub plant outdoors in summer

• Origin: Central Asia & India

Optional Winter Rest

If desired, you may give your plant a winter break:
Let the leaves die back naturally, keep the tuber at around 15C, and let it dry slightly.
In spring, with enough sun & warmth, it will sprout back beautifully as reliably as all Colocasias in the TOMs FLOWer CLUB collection.

Your Plant

You will receive the plant shown in the photos, fully established, organically cultivated and ready to thrive.
